Recent scientific research has proven that at birth, babies can't see colour to its fullest, their vision is blurry and they can only see approximately 8-12 inches in front of them. The research also shows that black and white images and objects register with their retina the strongest, as they can distinguish between the 2 contrasts, thus helping to attract their attention, whilst stimulating their brain and eyes to help their growth and development.
